During that same year she was awarded a full scholarship to pursue her college degree at Berklee College of Music where she graduated in 2019. At Berklee she was part of the Berklee Global Jazz Institute, studying with artistic director Danilo Perez, Joe Lovano and Ben Street among others. Milena was also part of the Berklee jazz and Gender Justice institute studying with Terri Lyne Carrington and Kris Davis.

During the course of her career apart from performing with well renowned artists  at venues and festivals such as the Blue Note NYC, Dizzy's Club, Smalls Jazz Club, the Monterey Jazz Festival, the Washington DC Jazz Festival, the Toronto Jazz Festival and the Marciac Jazz Festival, she has been focusing on composing her own music, and performing her pieces in different settings which include trio, quartet, sextet and nonet.
